Seatnivo Privacy Policy
Seatnivo provides class-opening alerts and, for eligible Sniper customers, requested enrollment automation. This policy explains how information is handled when you use seatnivo.com, app.seatnivo.com, or purchase Seatnivo access.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your email address, purchase details, access key, selected courses and sections, and support messages. The Email Alerts plan does not require university sign-in details. If you choose the Sniper plan, we process the university sign-in and authentication information needed to monitor and attempt the enrollment actions you request. We also process limited technical information, including IP address, browser information, security events, and service activity, to operate the service, remember authorized access, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
Payments
Checkout and payment card information are processed by Shopify and its payment providers. Seatnivo receives order and payment-status information needed to deliver your purchase, but does not directly receive or store your complete payment card number.
How we use information
We use information to deliver purchased access, validate keys, send class-opening and account emails, monitor selected classes, perform requested enrollment attempts, provide support, secure the service, prevent fraud, maintain records, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell personal information.
When information is shared
Information is shared only as needed with service providers that support Seatnivo, such as Shopify for checkout, hosting and infrastructure providers, and email-delivery providers. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, Seatnivo, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
Security and retention
Seatnivo uses encrypted connections, access controls, restricted administration, rate limits, security logging, and protected server-side storage. No online service can promise absolute security. We retain information only while it is needed to provide the service, protect the platform, resolve disputes, or meet legal and accounting obligations. University authentication data is restricted to the Sniper service and is removed or made inaccessible when it is no longer required for active service.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, subject to legal and operational requirements. You may stop class alerts by removing a watch or contacting support. Transactional messages about purchases, access, security, or requested alerts may still be sent when necessary to provide the service.
Children
Seatnivo is intended for post-secondary students and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
International processing
Service providers may process information outside your province or country. Their processing may be subject to the laws of those locations.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will remain posted here.
